An X-ring is a double-acting seal with four sealing lips. The X-ring is primarily used in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
The advantage of an X-ring is that is has a low friction and a supreme sealing capacity with its four sealing points and the possibility of using grease between the sealing lips. This makes the X-ring very stable in dynamic applications.
